To not lose these efforts and memories to time, at least not yet.

Music Of 25’s New EP “Messy” August 2024
Torn between Worlds, a composition that couldn’t be lost to time.
So Close
Since 2013 I have tried to organize releases as close to their creation and inspirational timelines as possible. From Big Black’s five-year Odyssey to Home’s three-year study; from Paper’s singles collecting tensions and now on to Messy.
The writing for Messy started in February of 2022 on voice memos and notebook paper about a composition that was between projects. GS Feels kept developing as the previous players, John C. Densmore and Jordan Steel, moved cities/ practicing with email attachments and section notes. The thought of losing these efforts to time was too much to bear, and in September of 2023, I drove down to New Orleans and tracked the Messy EP with Jordan Steel and Michael Saladis.
This studio effort is now set to release on August 6, 2024 and its two-and-a-half-year journey on the edge shows up. I’m immensely proud of the percussive work of Jordan Steel, the ears and patience of Mike S, and many others who helped make this EP happen. Special thanks to Michael Saladis for his incredible ear, Evan Kleinecke for the Austin recordings, Andy Gross for mastering, Ryan Young for brainstorms, Justo and Cleo for showing the way, my partner Chelsey Pope, and my support system for this beautiful chance.

A dark density gives way to reverie
Quotes from the authors who’s writing bolstered “Big Black” ” Listening lies only partially under the control of the listener and provides a greater opportunity for objects of perception to exercise agency.” Joanna Demers, “Listening through the Noise: The Aesthetics of Experimental Electronic Music” ” The principle feature of city soundscape is random…
